Custom of the Week: Canto

In celebration of Hub’s b-day, Custom of the Week is back! I know what you’re thinking: “but Becka, you said Hubs hates the ponies?” He does. But to placate me once during the height of my pony-collecting days in college he let me make a custom pony of him (to go with the custom pony of me). It’s not exactly the right color (it should be a brighter dark blue – like the color of the sky just after sunset), and the quill doesn’t represent him as well any longer (it should be some sort of cooking thing now, or a mountain bike, or maybe a crest with a skillet in one corner, a quill in one corner, Hops in one corner, and a mountain bike in the last corner), and there definitely needs to be some red in it, but for the time Canto was a pretty good representation of Hubs.

Canto, by the way, is still a writing-based pony. Hubs was a poet in college, and a canto is “a principal form of division in a long poem, especially the epic. The word comes from Italian, meaning “song” or singing.” Hub’s was in the men’s glee club in college (one of the best in the nation!) so I thought the name fit especially well.

I don’t have a picture of Canto by himself, but the other pony in the photo is my pony persona (Delphinbella).

Bella and Canto

Happy Birthday my Canto!
