Custom of the Week: Jenarah

Happy Monday, Aledan Merfolk! Things have been a little crazy around here lately as my computer went CAPUT, so I haven’t been able to post as much as I’d like to (so far I haven’t posted a single #WriteMotivation update this month, oops). But those back-to-school sales should be starting soon, so I’m hoping to have a new computer once they do. Until then I may be a bit sporadic with posting, but I’ve been holding on to today’s beautiful custom for two weeks, and I have to share her!

I love the ringlets of colorful hair! And her fireworks symbol is gorgeous.

Custom of the Week: Orchid

Happy Monday, Aledan Merfolk! I spent the weekend at the beach and pool (literally – I barely went inside at all this weekend) in a mini-vacation, so I’m rested and relaxed and ready for the short week :) And I have a beautiful custom to share with you!

Look at the details! The branch work on the wings is so detailed, and the color of the flowers pops so much. I adore this pony.

Custom of the Week: Mandarin the Merpony

Happy Sunday, Aledan Merfolk! After a couple months without ponies, I was finally able to get permission to post one, and it’s stunning! Not only is it a merpony, but the tail is posable. That’s right – you can move the tail to display however you like. Very cool.

Custom of the Week: Comet

Happy Monday, Aledans! I know we *just* saw a transparent made-from-scratch seapony last week, but the customizer posted photos of another beauty, and I couldn’t resist showing her off! She has another one with a sitting pose, too, so click on the photo to be taken to her FB page where she posts all her gorgeous customs.

Well, now you definitely need to click through the photo, because WordPress is being a jerk and not letting me re-size it. Plus, you have to see all the other photos of this beauty!

Custom of the Week: Wind Whistler SeaPony!

Last week we learned the difference between seaponies and merponies (although I was wrong, Hasbro did make three merponies), with some beautiful examples of the latter. Today I have a special treat, because I have a seapony custom that looks like my favorite childhood pony, Wind Whistler! This custom is extra awesome, because the customizer didn’t just take an existing sea pony and re-hair it, she made a mold herself and used a resin to make the pony both translucent, and glow in the dark! That is some awesome badassery right there. I’ll be commissioning an Erie version when I finish StO :)

Custom of the Week: Tiny Merponies!

As I’m sure you all know by now, I’m a bit obsessed with all things fish related, so merponies are one of my favorite things in the world. Merponies are the mermaid version of ponies -  pony tops, fish bottoms. There are no official merponies made by Hasbro (although I think there should be), but there are official seaponies (complete with an annoying song!). Instead of having pony tops and fish bottoms, they’re all fish except for their head. And now you know the difference between merponies and seaponies :) So bring on the merponies!

I don’t know which one’s my favorite, but I’m very partial to that all-green one in the middle.

Custom of the Week: Hilda

Happy Monday, Aledan Merfolk :) Yep, that’s your new name now, because you’ll always be Aledans, but right now I’m working on a mermaid story. The time change this weekend has thrown off my schedule a bit, so I’m getting the Custom of the Week up a little late. But she’s so worth it. Part of Ambar Julieta’s beautiful henna collection, meet Hilda:

I LOVE the gradient and details on this one. She looks like the night sky (or the deep ocean covered in jewels?).

Custom of the Week: Cain

I’m cheating a little bit with this week’s custom, because I was the customizer ;) But I finished CPing Juliana’s Cadaver Dog last week, and I just couldn’t help sharing Cain. If he looks familiar, that’s because he was part of PonyFest13. Juliana’s always been the most patient person with me, and she’s been playing PonyFest since the first one, so I made Cain for her for Christmas :) I can’t tell you much about him, but trust me, you’ll want to read the book he’s in when it’s published!

There won’t be a custom pony next weekend, but I’ll return the second weekend of March with another!

Custom of the Week: My Little Cheetah

Happy Monday, Aledans! I did absolutely nothing yesterday, which included posting this week’s custom. It was glorious. But now I’m back on the horse (pony?) with an awesome custom that I love so much. Cheetahs have always been one of my favorite animals – my mom will attest to all the times she had to patch the holes in the knees of my blue jeans because I’d been crawling around on all fours yowling at people. Turns out cheetahs don’t actually do much yowling, but it would have been stupid to tweet like a bird at people ;)

The spots are a little more leopard then cheetah, but I think it’s adorable all the same. Especially the tear-marks on the face!

Custom of the Week: Queen Regina

Happy Festival of Aleda, Groundhog’s Day, Imbolc and Superbowl Sunday! The month of Kalavista is over, but I still have a bunch of amazing custom ponies for you this month. We’re starting with a custom that was made so it could be signed by the actress who plays Queen Regina in Once Upon a Time (which I admit I’ve never seen, although I bet I’d like it). Apparently the actress loved the pony so much the customizer made a second one to give to her!

I love the pony, and Lana Parilla looks so delighted to have been immortalized in pony form!
