So, as you can see the stickies aren’t always full of writing. This one has been on the front cover of my small writing notebook for months now – ever since I went to get a massage and the woman put the peppermint oil on my neck without enough carrier oil to dilute it. Thing burned like hell, distracted me from my relaxation, and left a nice mark in the very center of the front of my neck for my entire anniversary/honeymoon trip to Oregon. Since the first chapter of Fie Eoin has Kaye putting peppermint on Kindra’s wound to help it heal (but leave a scar) I realized that it would burn Kindra too. And while she’s a warrior and probably could live through the pain and her mark would be no worse for wear I don’t really see priestess-in-training Kaye making that mistake.
That happened back in May, by the way, and I still haven’t changed that part of the chapter (nor chapter two which mentions peppermint again as a healing agent). Peppermint is good for healing, but you really have to dilute it in another oil first. It’s great for muscle relaxation (although now I prefer clary sage for that purpose) and is great in tea to help ease nausea in your stomach. But if you are hung-over, puke first, then take the peppermint tea. Trust me on this one.
Oh yes, and Gomez is the name of a group that sings a song I like. Since the sticky was on the front cover of the folder I wrote it on that so I wouldn’t have to flip through to find an empty page. The song reminds me of Gar.
