I have received a huge honor from Laura J Moss, a writer-friend I met on Twitter who was part of the NaNo Blogchain and likes to make fun of SC politicians with me (she also shares my love of the environment and kittens, but mostly we make fun of Sanford, Wilson, and of course Alan Greene). She’s been working hard on writing her first novel, which is how she received the Write Hard Award, and now she has passed it on to me!
The Write Hard award is given to writers who – you guessed it – work hard on their writing. The official rules of the Write Hard award can be found on Aaron Polson’s blog, and it is my turn to honor someone with this awesome award. Without further ado, here are my choices for the Write Hard Award!
1. Christine Fonseca: Not only does Christine have two non-fiction books about gifted children – and has been on a whirlwind tour of schools and blogs to talk about those books – but she’s also writing and submitting fiction as well. Talk about a full plate! I can’t think of anyone who deserves a Write Hard award more than Christine does 🙂
2. Sophia Chang: My brand new critiquing buddy and mythology enthusiast, Sophia is insanely talented in so many different areas! I LOVED reading her book (<3 all over the pages from me), and it’s obvious that she’s going to make it as a published author – and probably sooner than I will!
3. Amy R: One of my Wrimos for the past three years, I’ve watched Amy struggle to overcome her fears about writing and critiquing and I have to give her this award for the sheer effort of it all. Plus, I loved what I was able to read! Her journey mirrors mine so much, and I know that if she keeps writing hard she’ll realize her dream.
4. Alyson Grauer: I’ve known Aly for almost a decade now, and I’m always amazed by her creative spirit and trudge-through-the-Chicago-winter work attitude. She’s always busy, she’s always got a flair for life, and she’s always fun to write with. Plus Mio’s in love with her muse. What more can you ask for?
5. The Asiagoans: Of course my Asiagoans are on this list. These guys rock. My Hometree group of writers who are working together to write the best novels that we can and get them out into the world. Sarah, Mina, Matt, Lindsay and Angela all deserve the Write Hard award 🙂
6. Angela Perry: Although she has no blog that I know of to officially receive the award Angela is still an awesome hard worker who is helping me with the editing process. Not only does she have to write her own book, but she has become my official task-master, and that’s no small job!
Congrats to all the Write Hard award recipients!
