12. In what story did you feel you did the best job of world building? Any side-notes on it you’d like to share?
This time you really do know what I’m going to say, and it’s Fie Eoin! It had better be – I’ve spent a heck of a long time building that world. I’ve written dissertations (well, summaries at least) on their culture and gods and beliefs. I know their legends and myths and the stories of their ancestors. I found out who Aleda actually was and how she became their Mother Goddess. I know why the Gaerloms are scared of the Faye and why the Faye stay away from the Gaerloms. I know that the Goddess of Love was really a selfish priestess who deified herself until the story caught on with the younger generation. I know that the Obsidians are actually in the right when they attack the Aledans, but you can’t tell Kindra that (I’ve tried, she won’t listen).
And as a side note, I know that Monk is gay, but he’ll never tell anyone and it will never be discussed in the story. So there you go, your very own Fie Eoin Dumbledore moment.
